Well, we continue to talk and invite and work towards a sustainable launch team who will help us launch Every Road Covenant Church (ERCC) in the Santa Clarita Valley. Our goal for the fall and winter are to add at least an additional 20 dedicated people who are willing to work on the church plant with a view towards starting once a month actual preview services in the first quarter of 2009.
Dreaming of the launch

Hi,
I’m a member of Modesto Covenant Church, which is in the early phase of launching a plant. We (elders) have chosen a planting pastor candidate, and are about to announce him to the congregation. Are you being supported by an established church? Simi Valley??
I will remember to pray for you and Every Road Covenant Church–what a great name!
Blessings to you!

Betty, I pray your introduction of your church planting pastor to your congregation goes well! Do I understand correctly that your church is sponsoring a plant? What a great thing to do!
Technically we may be a bit ahead of the curve in using “Covenant” in our name. Pastor Tess and I have been through the vetting evaluation by the Covenant denomination and have been approved to start the planting process, but there is no direct financial support from them at this point. We are doing what they call “parachuting” in to start the church – which implies that we are working on our own and bearing our own expenses. It is possible that some sort of support will come when we have our core or launch team solidified. We currently have about 10-12 on the team we can count on and want to get up to about 30 as we move into the new year.
Please keep us posted with how your plant is going, and God Speed!
